Mesh filters

A mesh filter is the first treatment stage: it stops sand, scale flakes and rust before they reach the pump, water heater and taps. The mesh is not thrown away — it is rinsed and refitted.

• filtration rating — 90 µm for sandy borehole water, 50 µm when you need finer filtration;
• mesh material — stainless steel lasts longer and cleans easily, polyester costs less;
• pressure gauges before and after the filter show at once when the mesh is clogged and needs rinsing.
